Gasp!

My purchase of a pair of Gasp jeans came with this HUGE as paper bag. Not to mention, it is bright green in colour. This may be a way for the shop to make some sort of statement but heck, it is damn annoying for the buyer okk… Imagine this bag constantly tripping your friend/stranger or even yourself. And on a busy Saturday afternoon at Chadstone Shopping Centre, this bag is definitely NOT crowd friendly. Also, what about the trees? Surely a smaller bag will benefit both consumer and the environment right?

Wicked Styles For The Bold

For those who know me well, I’m not a brand conscious shopper. I don’t get LV and can’t tell the difference between Gucci and Guess’s logo. Heh. But lately I have been lusting over THIS Chanel bag…

Considering I’d need to get a mortgage in order to purchase this bag, I decided to hunt for an alternative. AND I FOUND THIS…

And you know what? I think I like this better. And no, I am not being a sour grape about not being able to get the REAL Chanel bag.

The bag is just the right size. Not too big, not too small. And most importantly, it fits my 18cm long wallet! Another feature I like about it is the hard bottom, which means even if there is heaps of stuff in your bag it won’t sag into a weird shape. With its long versatile strap, you can vary your carrying style.

Dress also from acrossthebloodyuniverse. Check it out here.

Zipper leggings also from acrossthebloodyuniverse, inspired by Lindsay Lohan’s range. Check it out here.

My favourite thing about the bag is that it has a touch of vintage to it. :) If you’re interested, click here. But be quick because stocks run out fast!

Acrossthebloodyuniverse is one of my favourite e-shops around. It is based in Singapore and owned by the fabulous Mery & Sarah. I love their ‘inspired by X’ theme, their ‘little miss fix it corner’, their affordable prices and their big ass photos of the items from different angles. And best of all, they ship to Australia!

P.S. I’m not getting paid for this. I am merely sharing my shopping finds.

Update: My stint at the market was more successful than I imagined. I actually made a profit, but I’m most glad about being able to at least get rid of some clothes!

The Cigar Box & The Princess Necklace

Look what came in the mail! :D

My beautiful vintage cigar box and Princess necklace. Hee. Both from Seam Sew Swell. The cigar box was only USD5 and the necklace USD17. I reckon they are worth it. The seller fixed a handle for the cigar box so it can be used as a purse but I don’t think I’ll be carrying it around, too fragile! The inside of the box is lovely, with an oval shaped mirror on one side and lined with a beautiful blue patterned cloth (right picture) on the other. I’m gonna keep all my necklaces in this box (which is not many so there should be enough space).

Also from the store was this black vintage polaroid camera, it was only USD17! Of course I wanted it too but it was sold already. Boo. Maybe next time, eh?

The Purple Dress

Halfway through the year, I remembered fashion magazines telling me that dark purple will be the next big thing. I wasn’t a fan of purple things so I didn’t really put much thought about it.

But since I bought a dark purple colour basic tank top from Cotton On, I have become very fond of this colour. There’s just something about it. The richness of the colour is intriguing.

And now, I have my own dark purple piece other than that basic tank top (though the colour doesn’t really show in the picture).

Yay!
